The DOST Halal Science and Technology Program is a pioneering government initiative dedicated to strengthening the Halal industry across the Davao Region through science-based approaches and technology-driven solutions.
Established in alignment with RA 10817 — the Philippine Halal Export Development and Promotion Act of 2016 — the program supports MSMEs, food manufacturers, and industry stakeholders with Halal awareness activities, technical training, laboratory verification services, and Halal Assurance System manual development, helping businesses meet both local and international Halal standards.

The DOST Halal S&T Program seeks to establish and sustain a comprehensive science, technology, and innovation support system for the Philippine Halal Industry. Specifically, it aims to:
